Trained at Sydney College of the Arts (now UTS) with a BA Interior Design. Simon has worked with leading architects and in areas of industrial design, furniture and graphics, public artwork, ecological interpretation, indigenous landscape restoration in Western Sydney. Furniture design has represented Australia in Talenborse Handwerk Munich and various exhibitions, publications, editorials and located in public acquisitions and private collections.
Taking much inspiration from a life sensitive to natural bushland, farm landscapes and conservation Simon aims to give back generously in responses with an understanding and passion for geometry, sculptural drama and habitats. His ongoing purpose strives for responsibly “good” eco-design innovation with cross-cultural and inter-generational relevance.
IN BRIEF — Simon creates iconic furniture from urban salvaged timber and designs ecological art installations to inspire, educate and interpret heritage, habitats and future concerns.
